In Uzbekistan, all medical institutions will operate without days off from August 29 to September 1. The Ministry of Health has established a special headquarters to coordinate work during the festive and weekend days.
According to the ministry's press service, all district, city, regional, and republican hospitals, specialized centers, and clinics of medical universities will operate in on-duty mode. Duty shifts have also been organized in 39 inter-district trauma and vascular disease centers.
The emergency medical service will continue to operate as usual. Across the country, more than 2,900 teams are on duty around the clock at 14 branches, 189 stations, 40 substations, and 1,492 support points. All maternity homes and children's medical institutions will also work without days off.
Earlier it was reported that additional railway, automobile, and air transport services would be launched in Uzbekistan for the holidays. These measures are aimed at developing domestic tourism and creating convenient conditions for travel.
