On Sunday, September 6, the capital will host a mass race, the Tashkent International Half Marathon, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of state independence.

According to the Tashkent Center for Traffic Management, to ensure the safety of participants and road traffic, from 05:00 to 14:00 on September 6, vehicle traffic will be temporarily restricted on the following sections:

Islam Karimov Street — from Furkat Street to Sharaf Rashidov Avenue; Sharaf Rashidov Avenue — from Afrosiyob Street to Islam Karimov Street; Afrosiyob Street — from Islam Karimov Street to Oybek Street; Oybek Street — from Afrosiyob Street to Nukus Street; Nukus Street — from Oybek Street to Abdulla Qadiri Street; Abdulla Qadiri Street — from Nukus Street to Khamidulla Aripov Street; Khamidulla Aripov Street — from Abdulla Qadiri Street to Mustakillik Avenue; Mustakillik Avenue — from Mirzo Ulugbek Avenue to Amir Temur Square; roads around Amir Temur Square — to Bukhara and Shakhrisabz Streets; Alisher Navoi Street — from Shakhrisabz Street to Furkat Street; Batyr Zakirov Street — from Alisher Navoi Street to Afrosiyob Street; a section of Ukchi Street adjacent to Batyr Zakirov Street.

It was noted that if the number of participants and spectators increases, traffic may also be temporarily restricted on adjacent streets if necessary.

Drivers were urged to plan their routes in advance, use alternative directions, and comply with road signs and instructions from traffic police officers.
