A tragic accident occurred in the Denau district of the Surkhandarya region, where a train collided with a Gentra car at a railway crossing, resulting in the deaths of four people, according to local media.

The incident took place on August 28. Video footage shows the Gentra driving onto the crossing just as a train approaches. The impact threw the car off the tracks, causing it to crash into a concrete pillar. The vehicle was severely damaged, and all four occupants were killed instantly.

Official authorities, including the regional traffic police and Uzbekistan Railways, have not yet released any official statements regarding the incident. An investigation is underway.

This accident follows a similar tragedy in the Syrdarya region, where a Chevrolet Captiva collided with a truck, killing three people and causing the truck to catch fire. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about road and railway safety in the country.
