The draft proposes revising certain requirements for candidates to judicial positions. Specifically, it suggests lowering the age limit for judges and people's assessors from 35 to 30 years. This is expected to attract young and qualified personnel to the judicial system.

Additionally, the bill introduces a procedure for appointing judges initially for a 5-year term, followed by an indefinite term. This is intended to ensure stability in judicial tenure and enhance their independence. Requirements for the positions of judge, court chairman, and deputy chairman are also being tightened.

The draft also includes provisions for the social protection of judges and their family members. It envisions the introduction of the 'retired judge' institution, which would allow such judges to engage in professional mediation activities. This aims to utilize their experience and ensure a dignified life for them.

Furthermore, the bill incorporates several norms aimed at the efficient organization of the administrative apparatus of the Supreme Court and lower courts. This is expected to improve management efficiency within the judicial system and streamline case processing.

At the conclusion of the session, the bill was passed in its first reading. It was emphasized that proposals and recommendations made by deputies will be taken into account when preparing the bill for the second reading. After final discussion and passage, the law is expected to be implemented in practice.
