A tragic incident occurred in the Piskom River in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region: on August 26, a 30-year-old resident of Kibray district, while paddleboarding with a group of companions, lost control, hit a rocky bank, and fell into the water. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the man was not wearing a life jacket, contrary to safety requirements, and the strong current swept him away.

Since the day of the incident, MES divers conducted continuous search and rescue operations in the area. After 15 days of searching, on September 10 at 09:50, the man's body was recovered from the water. This tragedy once again highlights the importance of adhering to safety rules on water bodies.

The MES calls on citizens to strictly follow safety rules on water bodies and to always use life jackets when moving on water. Unfortunately, such incidents occur regularly: earlier, after a week-long search, MES rescuers found the body of one of two sons who drowned along with their father in the Charvak Reservoir. Search operations continue.

This incident underscores the need to take precautions while resting on the water. Experts recommend wearing a life jacket even in shallow areas and avoiding places with strong currents.
