In the first seven months of 2026, the volume of education services in Uzbekistan reached 27.2 trillion soums. This represents an 18.4% increase compared to the same period last year, indicating robust growth in the sector.

According to the National Committee on Statistics, nearly half of all education services are accounted for by higher education, which made up 41.2% of the total volume. This highlights the growing demand for university-level education and the expansion of private educational institutions.

Tashkent remains the leader in terms of education services provided. During the seven-month period, the capital's volume reached 14.5 trillion soums — more than half of the country's total. This underscores the concentration of educational infrastructure in the capital.

Among the regions, the highest figures were recorded in Samarkand and Fergana regions, each at 1.7 trillion soums. They are followed by Namangan and Andijan regions, each at 1.3 trillion soums, and Tashkent region with 1.2 trillion soums.

In Bukhara region, the volume of education services amounted to 1.1 trillion soums, while in Kashkadarya region it was 972.7 billion soums. In Karakalpakstan, the figure reached 771.7 billion soums.

In Surkhandarya, education services worth 712.0 billion soums were provided in January–July, and in Khorezm region — 694.1 billion soums. In Navoi region, the figure stood at 423.9 billion soums.

The lowest volumes among the regions were recorded in Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions — 361.8 billion and 357.1 billion soums, respectively. This gap illustrates persistent regional disparities in access to education services.

As a reminder, in the first half of 2026, commercial banks in Uzbekistan issued preferential education loans totaling 115.9 billion soums, reflecting the government's continued focus on supporting education.
