Law enforcement authorities in Uzbekistan's Namangan and Andijan regions have stopped the illegal circulation of potent medications. In two separate operations, police seized more than 3,000 tablets of "Regapen," and one suspect was detained while selling a large batch for $7,700.

The first arrest took place in the Pap district of Namangan region. Officers from the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office and other law enforcement agencies detained a citizen while selling 938 tablets of "Regapen." During the arrest, another 1,800 tablets of the same potent drug were found on the man. They were also seized as material evidence.

A pre-investigation check revealed that the citizen had purchased the drugs in Fergana together with an acquaintance who had previously been convicted. After delivering the medicines, one of them was responsible for placing them in predetermined locations and ensuring storage, while the other searched for buyers and sold the drugs.

Another case was uncovered in the Balykchi district of Andijan region. During a search of the home of a resident of the "Navruz" mahalla, law enforcement officers found 308 tablets of "Regapen." According to the investigation, the man had stored the drug for further sale.

Criminal cases have been initiated on both facts under an article providing liability for the illegal circulation of potent or poisonous substances that are not narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogues.

Earlier, a large consignment of drugs and potent medications was intercepted in Kokand. The detained suspect was found with 2.4 kilograms of hashish and 5,600 tablets of "Regapen."
