Since the beginning of the year, more than 2,400 employees of state structures in Uzbekistan have been held accountable for violations in handling citizens' appeals. According to inspections by the People's Reception Offices, 151 officials were dismissed from their positions, and over 800 received reprimands.
In total, during the first eight months of 2026, disciplinary and administrative sanctions affected 2,469 employees of government agencies. In addition to dismissals and 833 reprimands, 150 officials were subjected to administrative liability, and another 1,335 received official warnings.
The main initiator of the inspections is the People's Reception Offices of the President of Uzbekistan. During this period, they sent 5,486 orders and other documents to state bodies demanding prompt elimination of identified shortcomings and punishment of those responsible.
Alongside strict measures, educational work is also being conducted. Practical seminars were held in 10 agencies that received the highest number of complaints from the population. They analyzed mistakes made and discussed measures to eliminate them.
The People's Reception Offices emphasized that systematic control over executive discipline in handling citizens' appeals will continue in all state structures. Earlier, the President of Uzbekistan instructed to transform the system of People's Reception Offices, strengthening the personal participation of regional and agency heads in reviewing citizens' appeals. The introduction of digital control over personal and on-site receptions was also envisaged.
