Starting September 28, direct regular flights will be launched between Tashkent and the Indian city of Hyderabad. The new route will be operated by Centrum Air twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, according to the Uzbek Tourism Committee.

The Tourism Committee expects the new route to simplify travel between Uzbekistan and southern regions of India and to help increase mutual tourist flows. The flights are also anticipated to boost business and cultural ties between the two countries.

Hyderabad is the capital of the Indian state of Telangana and one of the country's largest technology hubs. The city hosts offices of major international IT companies, making it an attractive destination for both tourists and business representatives.

Earlier, it was reported that Tashkent and Mauritius would be connected by direct flights for the first time. The first flight on the new route is scheduled for December 26, with plans to make the service regular from June 2027. Uzbekistan continues to expand its international aviation network.
