Tashkent is expected to experience a temperature inversion tonight as the air near the surface cools while higher atmospheric layers remain warm. This will lead to reduced vertical mixing of air.

According to meteorological forecasts, wind speeds in the capital will drop to 0.5-1 meter per second at times, further slowing air circulation. With no precipitation expected, particulate matter will linger longer in the atmosphere, creating favorable conditions for the accumulation of PM2.5 and PM10 pollutants in the surface layer.

Forecasts indicate that in most districts of the city, between 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM, air quality according to the AQI standard may deteriorate to levels unhealthy for sensitive groups. In the morning, as the surface warms, the inversion weakens, and vertical mixing increases, a gradual improvement in the environmental situation is expected. Residents are advised to avoid prolonged outdoor exposure during the evening hours.

Currently, atmospheric air quality is under constant monitoring by a Special Commission.
