President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Andijan region to inspect the activities of the "Andijan-Huanya" international technical college. The institution is located in the "Ipak Yuli" industrial zone in Andijan district and was established through foreign investments.

According to the presidential press service, the college trains specialists for textile, machine-building, and electrical engineering enterprises. The total cost of the project is $15 million, and 150 jobs have been created. A five-story academic building for 5,000 students has been constructed on a four-hectare plot.

The college has implemented a dual education system, where students study theory in classrooms and gain practical experience at large enterprises within the industrial zone. The institution began operations in June of this year and currently enrolls 210 students. In the next phase, a dormitory, laboratory building, sports ground, and canteen will be built.

By 2030, annual enrollment is planned to increase to 1,800 students, with the total number of students reaching 4,000. The number of training directions will grow to 20. The President reviewed the conditions, talked with young people and the investor.

Earlier, it was reported that construction of 206 new investment projects has begun in the Andijan region. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the launch ceremony, giving them a symbolic start.
