Namangan city has received 10 Zhongtong electric buses manufactured in China, according to the Ministry of Transport. They are planned to serve passengers on the “Otchopar — Chorsu” route.

The electric buses were delivered under a contract signed by “Turon-95 MBI” LLC for the purchase of 125 modern buses produced in China. In accordance with Namangan's road transport master plan, the new vehicles are planned to be deployed on the “Otchopar — Chorsu” route based on tender selections and to organize trips under a gross contract.

The launch of the new electric buses aims to expand eco-friendly and modern public transport services in the city. More than 20 new jobs are expected to be created on routes related to their operation.

It is noted that over the past period, as part of public transport modernization in the region, entrepreneurs have purchased 108 modern buses for Namangan. They currently serve 10 routes under gross contracts. Earlier in July, 12 Ankai buses were delivered to Namangan from China.

Recall that on June 23, at the regional situational center, Shavkat Mirziyoyev heard reports from officials, when it was instructed to purchase 90 buses, 50 electric buses, and 30 minibuses by September 1, and an additional 105 electric buses by July 1 for the development of public transport in Namangan.
