Uzbek financier and Anorbank shareholder Qahramonjon Olimov has been placed on the international wanted list. His Red Notice has been published on Interpol's website, according to the organization's official page.

Interpol's Red Notice is an international request to locate and arrest a person. In it, one country asks other states to find and temporarily detain the individual for subsequent extradition. According to the published card, Qahramonjon Olimov was born on May 7, 1977, in Andijan region, is a citizen of Uzbekistan, and speaks Uzbek, Russian, and English. He graduated from the Andijan Engineering-Economic Institute in 1999 with a degree in Finance and Credit, and later obtained an MBA from the Higher Business School under the Academy of Public Administration.

However, the notice does not specify the charges, the case details, or which country requested the notice. This raises questions about the legal basis of the search.

Earlier, on September 18, The Insider reported, citing a source close to Olimov, that the financier had been arrested in absentia in Uzbekistan as part of a criminal case involving kidnapping and placed on the international wanted list. According to the source's interpretation, the criminal case may be linked to Olimov's old financial dispute with his former employer Botir Rahimov (founder of Kapitalbank, where Olimov previously worked and owned more than 36% stake). The publication claims that Olimov is accused of organizing Rahimov's kidnapping to force him to drop financial claims. This information has not been officially confirmed by Uzbek law enforcement agencies.

Later, Anorbank stated that the circulating information relates to the personal affairs of one of its shareholders and is not connected to the bank's capital, management, or operational activities. The Central Bank, commenting on messages on X, emphasized that Anorbank continues to operate normally: "Operations on deposits, loans, payments, and other services continue without interruption. The situation with an individual shareholder does not directly determine the bank's daily operational activities and financial stability. The bank fulfills its obligations to clients and ensures the continuity of its activities."

According to the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations (USREO), Qahramonjon Olimov is a member of Anorbank's Supervisory Board and owns 49.4% of the bank's shares. Another 50% belongs to the Dutch company Bekamin B.V., and 0.6% to the insurance company Kapital Sug'urta.
