Starting January 1, 2026, Uzbekistan began issuing eco-stickers for vehicles. Tashkent frequently ranks among the most polluted cities, with over 4.7 million vehicles in the country being a primary source of emissions.
Eco-stickers are categorized into three colors: green (most eco-friendly), yellow, and red. The color is determined by fuel type and Euro emission standards. For example, diesel vehicles require at least Euro-4 for a green sticker, while gasoline vehicles need only Euro-2.
To obtain a sticker, log in to the my.gov.uz portal and search for the "eco-sticker issuance" service. The system will automatically load vehicle details. If correct, confirm them and provide a delivery address. The service is free, with only postal delivery charged at 5% of the base rate (approximately 20,600 UZS). Confirm payment via SMS code; the sticker will be delivered within 10 days.
The sticker must be placed on the inside of the windshield in the lower right corner from the driver's side. For vehicle registration, stickers are issued automatically at SBDB offices. Currently, online applications are available only for vehicles registered in Tashkent. Fines for lacking a sticker are not expected before 2028.
