The Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies has approved the renaming of Burijar Street, located in the "Raqatboshi" mahalla of Yakkasaray district, to Pekin Street. The decision obliges city and district authorities to make the necessary changes to relevant documents.

The proposal for the renaming was previously submitted by the Yakkasaray district administration and subsequently approved by the city council. This move formalizes the initiative, which is expected to streamline address records and possibly reflect international ties.

According to the resolution, the Department of the State Cadastre Chamber must ensure that addresses of real estate properties on the street are updated within two months, and all interested parties are to be notified. This will affect property owners and tenants alike.

The Main Department of Landscaping of Tashkent has been tasked with installing and replacing street signs in accordance with state standards within three months. The new signage will align with the updated name.

The renaming is part of broader urban management efforts and may also serve to strengthen international connections. Residents and visitors will soon see the updated street signs reflecting the change.
