The Uzbekistan national sports delegation, which delivered a stellar performance at the 20th Asian Summer Games in Japan, arrived back in Tashkent aboard a state-arranged charter flight. The team was greeted with an elaborate reception celebrating their historic accomplishments on the international stage.

The festive ceremony at Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport gathered prominent government officials led by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, along with senior leadership from the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, and the National Paralympic Committee. Municipal representatives, sports enthusiasts, and athletes' families were also present to mark the homecoming.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Aripov commended the competitors for their remarkable achievements at the continental event. An official congratulatory message from the President was also conveyed, emphasizing the athletes' discipline, resilience, and crucial contribution to elevating Uzbekistan's global sporting prestige.

The athletes expressed sincere appreciation to the national authorities for the continuous investment and comprehensive support provided to the sporting sector.
