The energy landscape within the United States has grown increasingly volatile, with average fuel prices under Donald Trump reportedly surpassing the metrics recorded during Joe Biden's four-year tenure. As diesel costs also climb, surging energy prices are turning into a formidable political liability for the US regime ahead of the crucial midterm congressional elections.

According to data compiled from approximately 120,000 filling stations nationwide by the AAA association, the average retail price for a gallon of regular gasoline under Trump's current term stands at $3.472, compared to $3.471 during the previous administration. Regional disparities remain stark, with prices soaring to nearly $6.00 per gallon in California while remaining lower in states like North Carolina. This widening gap continues to stoke frustration among American consumers facing mounting cost-of-living pressures.

Meanwhile, the trajectory of diesel prices highlights an even deeper economic strain. The average cost for a gallon of diesel has reached $4.343, up from $4.078 under the former president, following earlier spikes that saw prices touching historic highs at regional pumps. Such sustained inflation in the transportation sector heavily burdens supply chains and raises questions about the effectiveness of current economic management.

Amid fallout from geopolitical disruptions and Middle Eastern tensions, the US regime is allegedly resorting to controversial measures, reportedly negotiating the purchase of diesel from Russia to cool domestic markets. However, this purported maneuver directly violates the 2022 congressional ban on Russian energy imports, drawing sharp bipartisan criticism and widespread skepticism from analysts who doubt its capacity to meaningfully lower prices.
