Prominent Uzbekistani grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov has praised his compatriot Javokhir Sindorov, reportedly ranking him alongside the 13th world chess champion Garry Kasparov as one of the most naturally gifted players in the history of the sport.
According to Abdusattorov, Sindorov's exceptional abilities remained hidden for years because he did not initially dedicate all his attention to chess. However, once the young player fully focused on the game, his massive potential allegedly began to unfold completely.
Abdusattorov also admitted that his compatriot's achievements served as a crucial source of inspiration and restored his confidence. Although Abdusattorov was the first to cross the 2,700 rating mark back in 2022, Sindorov's recent breakthroughs have seemingly shifted the dynamics between the two players.
Earlier reports indicated that Sindorov climbed to the second position in the Live Rapid world rankings, accumulating an impressive 2,742.6 points.
