Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the seventh summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) held in Baku, delivering a comprehensive speech on regional security. According to the presidential press service, the high-profile gathering brought together various regional leaders, including the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, alongside numerous government and foreign policy officials.

During his address, the Uzbek president reportedly highlighted the profound geopolitical shifts worldwide and expressed deep concern regarding ongoing armed conflicts across different parts of Asia. He emphasized that the consequences of these crises extend far beyond immediate conflict zones, severely undermining regional stability, disrupting the global economy, and negatively impacting millions of lives.

Stressing the necessity for political and diplomatic resolutions to prevent further escalation, Mirziyoyev proposed the creation of a dedicated concept for building trust infrastructure in Asia. Furthermore, he advocated for joint regional initiatives focusing on artificial intelligence governance, climate resilience, and enhanced economic connectivity among member states.
