A notable structural reshuffle has taken place within the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to official reports from the agency's press service. Colonel Bakhtiyor Tugambayevich Rakhmonkulov has been officially appointed to head the State Inspection for Small Vessels under the ministry. The appointment purportedly aims to address ongoing administrative challenges and improve oversight within the specialized sector.

Born in the Tashkent region in 1976, Rakhmonkulov brings a background in military engineering and civil defense to his new role. He graduated from the Samarkand Higher Military Automobile Command and Engineering School in 1997, specializing in command and tactical automotive troops. Later, in 2008, he furthered his expertise by graduating from the Civil Defense Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, focusing on command-staff operational and tactical management.

Throughout his career, Rakhmonkulov has held various leadership positions within both the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Tashkent city administration. Prior to his current transfer, he had been serving as the khokim (mayor) of the Yashnabad district of Tashkent since August 26, 2020. Following his departure from the district administration, the vacant position was filled by Abdulaziz Abdulkhakov, who previously managed the social facility construction department at UET Construction.
