Today, October 16, natural gas supplies were temporarily suspended across seven makhallas in the Almazar district of Tashkent, lasting from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The stoppage was necessitated by urgent repair and maintenance works being carried out on the local gas distribution network.
According to reports from the "Hududgaz Poytaxt" enterprise, engineers and technicians were dispatched to address a leak detected on an underground medium-pressure pipeline. Additionally, crews are replacing a shut-off valve and dismantling a network section that previously supplied a building that has since been demolished.
The outage affected residents in the "Islomota", "Gulsaroy", "Chukursoy", "Tepaguzar", "Galaba", "Tabassum", and "Paxta" makhallas. Consequently, over 5,300 apartments and private residential households, alongside 35 major commercial consumers, found themselves temporarily cut off from the energy supply.
Authorities claim that gas deliveries will be restored in a phased manner once the engineering works are fully completed. Residents have been advised to account for these temporary disruptions and prepare accordingly for potential inconveniences.
