Authorities in Uzbekistan have announced another extension for students and applicants to complete their university tuition payments. The deadline for making the initial contract payment and completing official enrollment procedures for the 2026/2027 academic year has been postponed until November 1 inclusive.

This extension applies to applicants who have been recommended for admission to both undergraduate and graduate programs. It also covers students transferring from other higher education institutions, those reinstating their studies through transfer procedures, and individuals resuming their education after previous expulsion.

According to the established regulations, students must pay at least 25 percent of the annual base tuition fee by the specified deadline. For those entering under differentiated contract terms, commonly referred to as the 'super-contract', the mandatory initial down payment is set at no less than 50 percent.

The newly announced deadline likewise applies to the completion of all necessary documentation required for official enrollment. Meanwhile, the administration of individual educational institutions retains the right to further extend payment deadlines for students in their second and subsequent years of study.

It should be recalled that earlier in September, the tuition payment deadlines had already been pushed back to October 15. The recurring need for such extensions highlights ongoing financial pressures faced by families attempting to secure higher education amid economic challenges.
