Uzbekistan is set to establish a dedicated Investors Council in the fuel and energy sector to streamline project implementation and enhance conditions for foreign capital. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the decision during an open dialogue with major international energy investors operating in the country.

Large-scale energy initiatives inherently require massive financial resources and intricate infrastructure. Industry participants note that even minor delays in land allocation, grid connection, or technical approvals can severely impact project timelines. Prominent global companies such as ACWA Power, Vision Invest, DataVolt, Voltalia, and EDF have reportedly advocated for a structured, continuous dialogue platform to address these administrative bottlenecks.

In response to these operational challenges, the authorities have decided to launch the Council, to be headed by Saida Mirziyoyevez, Head of the Presidential Administration. The newly formed advisory body is tasked with providing prompt and practical solutions to issues encountered by investors at every stage of the project lifecycle—from initial land acquisition to final commissioning.

During the discussions, the leadership emphasized that the energy sector is viewed not merely as an economic segment, but as a crucial pillar for future national prosperity. "We do not just need sterile investments; we need deeply rooted mutual trust and genuine partnership," the president stated, highlighting that every new project must contribute to regional development and tangible improvements in public welfare.
