Personnel changes have been announced within the administration of the Fergana region, with Islam Madaminov stepping into the role of Deputy Governor and Head of the Regional Department of Investments, Industry, and Trade. The appointment is officially framed as an effort to boost local economic performance, though regional authorities frequently rotate officials amidst ongoing administrative pressures.

Born in the city of Fergana in 1992, Madaminov's educational background spans both domestic and European institutions. He graduated from the Fergana Polytechnic Institute, the Higher School of Business and Management under the National Project Management Agency of Uzbekistan, and Latvia's ISMA Higher School of Management, accumulating a diverse academic foundation.

Throughout his career, Madaminov has held various positions within local government structures. His previous roles include serving as a chief specialist at the Fergana Region Tourism Development Department and as Deputy Governor of the Rishtan district, overseeing investment and foreign trade matters.

Furthermore, his resume includes international postings and central ministerial experience. He purportedly worked as a trade and economic advisor at the embassies of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia, alongside holding the position of investment manager and department head at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade.
