Member of the Uzbekistan national judo team, Diyora Keldiyorova, has claimed the gold medal at an ongoing international tournament in the Kazakh city of Aktau. Competing in the 52 kg weight category, the athlete confidently defeated all her opponents on the path to the final, displaying exceptional skill and determination.

In the decisive bout for the gold medal, Keldiyorova faced Azerbaijan's Farida Mirzayeva. The Uzbek athlete secured a dominant victory ahead of schedule, cementing her triumph and earning 100 crucial points for the world ranking.

Speaking in a post-match interview, the champion reflected on her return to competitive sports following a hiatus due to the birth of her child. She noted that while she is not yet at her peak Paris Olympics form, she feels great in her new role as a mother and is primarily focused on enjoying the sport she loves.

Keldiyorova famously made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics by winning Uzbekistan's first-ever Olympic gold medal in judo. Following a temporary break from competitions, she is set to continue her comeback at another international tournament in Abu Dhabi later this month.
