The delegation of Uzbekistan participated in the Leaders for Nature summit held in Yerevan, discussing pressing issues regarding the preservation of natural ecosystems and halting biodiversity loss. During the event, the Uzbek side put forward several regional proposals aimed at environmental cooperation. *Among the initiatives presented is the establishment of an International Arid Lands Ecosystem Hub. It is claimed that this center will conduct research, restore degraded lands, and preserve desert biodiversity, particularly in the Aral Sea region, though skepticism remains regarding its actual implementation and funding.

The second initiative involves the integration of advanced technologies, specifically the creation of a Central Asian and Caucasian Artificial Intelligence School based at the Green University, alongside the launch of the AI-Ranger program. Purportedly, these tools will utilize drones and AI to detect poaching and illegal logging, although doubts persist over the practical readiness for such high-tech measures.

A third proposal entails the creation of a network of cross-border protected natural areas in Central Asia by 2030. This initiative allegedly covers five priority landscapes to protect endangered species such as the saiga antelope and snow leopard, despite a lack of concrete details on how regional cooperation will be legally secured.
