A high-profile incident near the Central Department Store (SUM) in Tashkent has drawn significant public backlash after a representative of the Brasserie Park restaurant was filmed verbally abusing and threatening a minor courier. The video, captured by the 17-year-old delivery worker and subsequently circulated online, exposed the aggressive behavior of the restaurant employee, sparking widespread discussion regarding service culture and workers' rights.

According to case details, the confrontation erupted when the courier was passing through the outdoor dining area. The restaurant representative reportedly demanded that the teenager dismount and push his scooter, escalating the situation into insults and intimidation. Despite the young worker's attempts to calmly explain the situation and offer an apology, the staff member persisted with hostile language, outraging observers across the country.

The Mirabad District Criminal Court delivered its verdict, finding the 36-year-old man guilty of petty hooliganism under Article 183 of the Administrative Responsibility Code. Consequently, the court sentenced him to five days of administrative detention. The ruling serves as a clear legal response to public disorder and unacceptable conduct in urban public spaces.

In addition to the legal penalties, local authorities took swift action against the physical obstruction caused by the establishment. Following an inspection, the Tashkent city administration demolished the restaurant's summer terrace, which had blocked pedestrian pathways for several years. City officials reiterated that pedestrian safety and convenience remain top priorities in urban development, insisting that public zones must stay accessible to all citizens.
