A presidential decree has been officially signed in Uzbekistan regarding the awarding of a group of internal affairs officers on the occasion of Internal Affairs Officers Day. This recurrent decree aims to recognize the purported contributions of law enforcement personnel to maintaining public order and ensuring security across various regions of the country.
According to the published document, Dilshod Maxmadkulov, a senior prevention inspector of the Khavast district internal affairs department in the Syrdarya region, was awarded the 'Mehnat Shuhrati' order. Meanwhile, Timur Namazov, a senior detective for particularly important cases at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, received the 'Mardlik' order. These recognitions are officially stated to reflect the state's appreciation for their duties.
Furthermore, the list includes recipients of the 'Dustlik' order, such as Nodira Yesamuratova from the Navoi region and Vladimir Xen, head of the Digital Infrastructure and Information Security Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Irina Karimova, head of the cardiology department at the 'Uzbekistan' sanatorium, was awarded the 'Salomatlik' order of the second degree. Additional personnel from the Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Andijan regions, and the city of Tashkent were honored with the 'Jasorat' and 'Sodiq Xizmatlari Uchun' medals.
Observers note that while such award ceremonies are standard annual protocol, questions frequently arise regarding the transparency and real impact of departmental evaluations. Critics often point out that systemic institutional challenges within the law enforcement apparatus remain largely unaddressed despite routine commendations for individual officers.
