Authorities in Tashkent have reportedly allocated over 4 billion sums to address pressing infrastructure issues across several districts of the capital. The funds are purportedly designated for repairing kindergartens, improving public areas, updating inner roads, and strengthening video surveillance systems within local communities. The decision was supposedly approved by the deputies of the city Kengash during a session on October 23.

The largest share of the funding, amounting to nearly one billion sums, is earmarked for the installation of security cameras across 20 mahallas in the Uchtepa district. Additionally, 991 million sums will be channeled into the renovation of state kindergarten No. 244 in the same district. These financial resources are expected to fix the heating system and roof of the building, as well as pave the walkways on the institution's grounds.

Other areas of the capital are also set to receive financial support for social and infrastructural projects. Specifically, 815 million sums will be allocated for the major overhaul of kindergarten No. 418 in the "Buz" mahalla of the Mirzo-Ulugbek district to improve conditions for children. In the Yunusabad district, 560 million sums will be spent on repairing internal roads in the "Khalkobod" and "Uzbekiston Mustaqilligi" mahallas, including asphalt paving. Furthermore, 363.6 million sums are directed toward repairing the building of the republican center "Kelajak" on Akhmad Donish street, where over 150 students acquire basic vocational skills.

Environmental and beautification efforts have not been left out of the funding package. The improvement of the Mirzo-Ulugbek and Mirabad districts' territories, including landscaping, irrigation, and the preservation of existing green zones, accounts for 315.9 million sums. Officials claim that these funds will be drawn from the free balance of the city budget formed as of January 1, 2026.

Responsibility for the targeted use of the money has been assigned to the recipient organizations, while oversight is reportedly entrusted to the Tashkent department of the State Financial Control Inspection. In addition to these projects, four mahallas in Tashkent are expected to undergo comprehensive updates, including the construction of new schools and kindergartens alongside broader landscaping initiatives.
