Residents and businesses in the Yunusabad and Yangikhayot districts of Tashkent are facing scheduled natural gas supply disruptions today, October 27. The restrictions stem from ongoing maintenance and infrastructure upgrade works, highlighting persistent challenges within the city's aging utilities network.

According to reports from the regional distributor "Hududgaz Poytaxt", specialists in the Yunusabad district are relocating an underground low-pressure gas pipeline situated within the "Firdavsi" mahalla. Consequently, from 09:00 to 18:00, gas deliveries will be entirely cut off for 250 apartments in the "Barocco" residential complex located in the "Buyuk Turon" mahalla, alongside 120 private households along the 2nd Asiya Dead-End street.

Furthermore, the disruption impacts approximately 30 commercial enterprises and public venues in the area. Prominent local spots, including the "Mahalla 90" café, the "Zebu Zar" banquet hall, and the "Sardoba" café, have been left without fuel, inevitably disrupting their daily operations and causing commercial friction.

Concurrently, technical upgrades are underway in the Yangikhayot district, where authorities are replacing an outdated gas distribution unit with modern equipment in the "Yorkin Hayot" mahalla. Scheduled from 11:00 to 16:00, this temporary shutdown affects 150 apartments in a multi-story residential building on the Sputnik-16 housing estate, as well as two local businesses.

Utility providers have stated that gas supplies will be gradually restored once the repair works are fully completed. While formal apologies have been issued to affected residents and entrepreneurs, the recurrent outages underscore the ongoing struggles with municipal infrastructure modernization.
