During the period from January to September of the current year, a total of 357,500 foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for commercial purposes. According to official data released by the National Statistics Committee, this figure represents an increase of 34,800 individuals, or nearly 10.8 percent, compared to the same period in the previous year.
Geographical distribution data indicates that the overwhelming majority of commercial visitors—approximately 323,700 people, or roughly 90.5 percent—were citizens of Afghanistan. Consequently, Afghanistan maintains the top position by a significant margin in terms of business-related entries into the country.
Neighboring nations followed in the subsequent rankings, with 24,196 individuals arriving from Turkmenistan and 6,412 from Tajikistan. Furthermore, commercial visits were registered from Kyrgyzstan (695 people), Kazakhstan (629 people), Russia (370 people), and Turkey (346 people).
Meanwhile, citizens from various other countries accounted for a combined total of 1,150 arrivals. Observers note that this ongoing upward trend reflects the continuous dynamics of regional trade and cross-border commercial engagement.
