The Apple Pay service was supposedly launched in Uzbekistan, allowing users to make purchases using their iPhones without producing a physical bank card. However, the actual integration and widespread adoption of such foreign financial tools often face significant structural hurdles and limitations within the local market.
At the current stage, the service reportedly supports only specific cards issued under the international payment systems Visa and Mastercard. At the same time, simply holding a card from one of the listed financial institutions does not guarantee seamless integration, as compatibility strictly depends on the specific card category and the stringent internal policies of each bank.
Before attempting to add a card to the Apple Wallet application, customers are advised to verify all necessary security protocols. Banks may require authentication via SMS verification codes or alternative security checks, which purportedly aims to protect transactions but can occasionally lead to friction and user inconvenience.
