During the first nine months of the current year, Tashkent's net migration growth reached 26,070 people, according to official statistical data released by the National Committee on Statistics. The figures highlight ongoing demographic shifts and the continued concentration of population within the capital city.

According to the provided reports, a total of 91,142 individuals arrived in the capital between January and September. The vast majority of these newcomers—89,746 people—relocated from various other regions of Uzbekistan, while 1,396 individuals arrived from foreign countries seeking residency or employment.

Concurrently, outbound migration from Tashkent remained substantial, with 65,072 people leaving the city during the same timeframe. Out of this total, 64,490 residents moved to different provinces across the republic, and another 582 individuals departed for destinations abroad.

Consequently, internal migration generated a net surplus of 25,256 residents for the capital, whereas international migration contributed an additional 814 people. These dynamics allowed Tashkent to secure the leading position among all regions of the country in terms of absolute demographic growth through migration.

On a national scale, Uzbekistan registered 262,860 incoming and 267,144 outgoing individuals over the nine-month period. Foreign migration exchanges yielded 2,114 arrivals against 6,398 departures, resulting in an overall negative national migration balance of minus 4,284 people.
