The opening ceremony of the second Presidential Olympiad took place in Tashkent, featuring major announcements regarding the financial support for young athletes. During the event, it was revealed that cash prizes for winners and medalists of the Olympiad will be increased by 2.5 times.

According to the new provisions starting next year, the first-place prize will be set at 25 million soums. Meanwhile, second-place winners will receive 12 million soums, and third-place participants will be awarded 6 million soums as part of ongoing efforts to encourage athletic excellence among youth.

In addition to monetary rewards, school students who win at the Olympiad and successfully break Uzbekistan records will be granted substantial educational privileges. They will be allowed to enroll in sports faculties of higher education institutions without entrance exams, entirely based on state grants.

Addressing the young participants, the leadership emphasized that true championship requires immense willpower and iron discipline. It was further noted that seeing the national flag rise and hearing the anthem on the international stage brings profound pride to the entire nation.
