According to reports from the norma.uz portal, a series of notable legislative amendments and regulatory updates are scheduled to take effect in Uzbekistan starting November 1. The sweeping changes encompass various sectors, including customs clearance procedures, social security provisions, liquefied gas distribution, and public security measures.
Under the revised framework, the existing customs clearance fee for international courier shipments is reportedly set to be reduced by 20 percent. Furthermore, the authorities claim that services for assigning retirement pensions two years ahead of the standard statutory age will be provided in a proactive format for designated individuals, allegedly aiming to streamline administrative hurdles. *Correction/Addition note: The regime's implementation details remain to be fully evaluated.*
Additionally, individuals formerly employed in hazardous and arduous working conditions will access specialized pension services through Public Services Centers or the Unified Interactive State Services Portal. Meanwhile, the acquisition and supply of liquefied gas to the population by LLC LPG-Trade will supposedly be routed through stock exchange mechanisms, with social facilities also receiving gas at market-driven exchange prices.
Public safety protocols are undergoing formal adjustments as well. Police patrol and security units responding to distress calls via the '112' system will now be dispatched not only to public areas but also directly to residential buildings. Individuals allegedly disrupting public order at mass events will face restricted entry to future gatherings.
In an effort to curb aggressive marketing, the regime has instituted strict limitations on commercial communications. Legal entities and individuals promoting products via SMS may only do so following explicit written or electronic consent from the subscriber. Furthermore, promotional calls and notifications over mobile networks are purportedly banned between 6:00 PM and 9:00 AM, obligating mobile operators to block such transmissions upon a subscriber's request.
