Criminal proceedings have been initiated against a 2008-born student residing in the Tashkent district and studying at a capital city university for allegedly engaging in unlicensed crypto-asset trading. According to the State Security Service, the individual reportedly conducted buy-and-sell operations totaling 64,715 USDT on the Bitget platform without the required regulatory authorization.

The illicit activity was uncovered during a joint operational search conducted by officers of the State Security Service and the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city. Official reports indicate that the young citizen operated without a license on the Bitget cryptocurrency exchange starting from December 2025 through October 2026.

Authorities noted that the stated figure of 64,715 USDT represents the aggregate volume of trading operations rather than net income or realized profit. Nonetheless, the unauthorized nature of the financial transactions under domestic legal frameworks prompted the immediate opening of a formal criminal investigation.

Investigators also revealed that the suspect was allegedly involved in selling virtual telephone numbers from 140 foreign countries via the Telegram messaging application. A subsequent check of the suspect's digital wallet uncovered a balance of 450 USDT, and comprehensive investigative procedures into the broader circumstances are currently underway.
