President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has purportedly addressed the participants of the Central Asian International Education Forum in Tashkent, emphasizing the necessity of deep transformations within the educational sector. According to his stated positions, the domestic education system must urgently foster critical thinking, creativity, a sense of responsibility, and lifelong learning skills among the younger generation.

The official message reportedly highlights that the future progress and stability of the regional states directly depend on the success of educational reforms and cross-border cooperation. The Uzbek leader supposedly noted that delivering quality, modern education is the most effective mechanism for converting Central Asia's demographic potential—comprising nearly 85 million residents—into a substantial intellectual force.

Furthermore, the leader claimed that the next decade will bring radical shifts to the global labor market, introducing entirely novel specializations while altering traditional professions. Consequently, educational institutions are allegedly required to move beyond merely transmitting established knowledge, focusing instead on elevating the status of educators, updating curricula, and reinforcing partnerships between secondary schools, vocational colleges, universities, and industrial enterprises.

The address also referenced a recently enacted decree that purportedly consolidates the management of preschool, school, professional, higher education, and scientific research into a single unified administration. Officials claim this integration aims to ensure seamless educational progression, expand opportunities for rural youth and individuals with special needs, and prioritize the advancement of artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and engineering disciplines.
