The governments of Uzbekistan and Thailand have reportedly agreed to sign a bilateral agreement introducing visa-free travel between the two nations. According to official statements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the text of this document is currently under review by the Thai side.

The arrangement was allegedly achieved during direct negotiations held between the foreign ministries of both countries. The ministry claimed that active diplomatic efforts have been underway since May, supposedly aimed at establishing favorable conditions for citizens of Uzbekistan visiting Thai territory.

Furthermore, the foreign ministry stated that consistent diplomatic work is being conducted to address ongoing difficulties faced by Uzbek citizens when obtaining Thai electronic visas. In this regard, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Thailand is holding regular bilateral meetings with the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

Additionally, the report notes that the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia is cooperating closely with the diplomatic mission of Thailand in Moscow to facilitate these ongoing diplomatic processes.
