In an effort to improve the reliability of the municipal power supply, secure stable electricity deliveries for local consumers, and expand existing capacities within the urban electrical grid, comprehensive modernization works are underway across multiple substations in Tashkent. This information was officially released by the press service of Toshkent Shahar Magistral Elektr Tarmoqlari.
As part of this sweeping infrastructure upgrade, the capacity of power transformers has been substantially increased at ten major substations throughout the capital. Specifically, the capacity at the 'Risovaya' substation was raised from 32 to 50 MVA, the 'SAZIIT' facility saw an increase from 20 to 50 MVA, and the 'Istikbol' substation was upgraded from 80 to 126 MVA, marking a significant growth of 46 megavolt-amperes.
Further capacity expansions were executed across several other critical nodes: the 'Yangi Tuzel' substation increased by 37.4 MVA, 'Tuzel' grew by 6 MVA, and the 'Karasu' substation recorded one of the largest jumps, surging by 85 MVA to reach a total of 138.6 MVA. Additional upgrades were successfully completed at the 'Charogon', 'Gornaya', 'Bibliotechnaya', and 'Vistavochnaya' substations.
According to the official statements provided by the utility authorities, the comprehensive transformer upgrades implemented across these ten designated facilities have generated a cumulative total of 333.2 MVA in additional electrical capacity. The enterprise claims that these infrastructural enhancements will ultimately enable the electrical networks to better withstand heavy operational loads and deliver a more stable supply of power to end users.
