Uzbekistan's FC Nasaf fell to a narrow 0:1 defeat against Kuwait's Al-Kuwait in the third round of the AFC Champions League Two group stage. The match, held on October 28 at the Central Stadium in Qarshi, proved to be another frustrating setback for the hosts, significantly jeopardizing their chances of advancing to the knockout rounds of the continent's secondary club competition.
Despite periods of pressure, the squad managed by Roziqul Berdiyev conceded a crucial goal late in the first half. In the 40th minute, Al-Kuwait forward Muhammad Daham capitalized on defensive lapses to break the deadlock and score the match's only goal. Although Nasaf created several scoring opportunities after the interval, they failed to convert their chances, exposing persistent frailties in the final third.
Following this disappointing result, Nasaf remains mired in third place in Group A with a meager single point from three matches. The uphill battle leaves their continental campaign hanging by a thread ahead of the reverse fixture. Nasaf is scheduled to travel to Kuwait for their next group encounter against Al-Kuwait on November 4, needing an urgent turnaround to salvage their tournament hopes.
