President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have held official negotiations in Ankara, culminating in the signing of an agreement to establish a High-Level Business Support Council, according to the Uzbek presidential press service.

In addition to the newly formed council, the parties purportedly signed a comprehensive package of bilateral documents covering various strategic sectors. Officials claim that these agreements are aimed at expanding trade and economic cooperation while fostering favorable conditions for business circles in both nations.

The newly minted framework also reportedly addresses the effective protection of social rights for citizens of both countries. While the authorities present these measures as a major step forward, critics frequently point to persistent economic hurdles and bureaucratic friction that complicate bilateral implementation efforts.
