Residents and businesses in Tashkent's Mirabad district are bracing for a temporary suspension of natural gas supplies scheduled for Monday, November 2. The interruption is necessitated by urgent repair works aimed at addressing infrastructural vulnerabilities within the city's aging gas distribution network.

According to statements released by the press service of the 'Hududgaz Poytaxt' gas supply branch, engineering crews will be dispatched to eliminate a confirmed gas leak. The defect was allegedly detected on a medium-pressure gas pipeline with a diameter of 80 millimeters, located on Yangi Kuylyuk Street within the Kuylyuk residential array.

The restrictions are slated to take effect from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM local time. Throughout this window, the delivery of natural gas will be completely halted to approximately 4,200 apartments spanning 51 high-rise buildings across the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters of the Kuylyuk array. Furthermore, the disruption will extend to the 'Oltinkul' and 'Karasuv' mahallas, temporarily depriving 516 apartments in 22 multi-story buildings and 1,455 private residential households of essential heating and cooking fuel.

Commercial and wholesale consumers will likewise bear the brunt of these operational halts. Within the Kuylyuk array, gas supplies will be cut off for enterprises such as 'Zilola-Zufiya shirin non', the 'Al Imron' workshop, a private clinic and school, the 'Billur' complex, a furniture workshop, and the SYuDSh-1 institution. Meanwhile, in the 'Oltinkul' and 'Karasuv' mahallas, the outage will impact public catering spots including 'Milliy taomlar' and 'Tabaka kafesi', alongside a total of 6 bakeries and 16 other wholesale facilities.

In addition to the primary outages, repair operations are expected to cause a noticeable drop in gas pressure along the 2nd Passage of Fargona Yuli Street. Utility operators claim that normal service will be restored progressively once all technical interventions have been successfully finalized.
