In an effort to tighten oversight on urban mobility, the Tashkent authorities have reportedly mandated the installation of mobile video cameras in the front section of municipal buses. According to the decision issued by the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies, the implementation process is scheduled to be completed by December 15. The initiative involves several local structures, including the Road Safety Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate, the Main Directorate for Transport Development, and the "Toshshahartransxizmat" enterprise.

The newly mandated equipment is supposed to automatically record various traffic violations while buses follow their designated routes. Officials claim these devices will streamline enforcement, though critics point out potential technical hurdles and increased friction for motorists. The captured footage is planned to be integrated directly into the centralized database of the Road Safety Department for automated fine processing.

Alongside the bus-mounted cameras, relevant municipal agencies have been instructed to ramp up regular enforcement raids starting November 1. These measures purportedly target unauthorized driving, stopping, and parking of private passenger vehicles in dedicated "A" lanes reserved exclusively for public transport. Previous installations of stationary monitoring systems on Lutfi Street and a six-kilometer stretch of Fargona Yuli Street indicate a broader trend toward automated traffic surveillance across the capital.
