A substantial medical charity mission has concluded in Karakalpakstan, where over 317 local residents received free health examinations and 187 individuals underwent necessary surgical procedures. A delegation of 36 medical professionals arrived from Kuwait to provide specialized care across seven clinical fields, including cardiology, oncology, and gynecology.
The humanitarian initiative was organized through the joint efforts of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the Al-Amal medical group, and the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Society. Patient consultations took place across four regional medical facilities, with the Kuwaiti side supplying the required advanced equipment and medical consumables to facilitate the operations.
The total value of the grant project reached 4.2 million dollars, with 3.9 million dollars allocated specifically for medical services and the remaining 300,000 dollars dedicated to equipment procurement. During the visit, representatives also discussed expanding bilateral cooperation, developing social rehabilitation centers for disabled children, and exploring further joint healthcare initiatives.
