On November 11, 2026, in the Turkish city of Antalya, a dedicated thematic event focusing on the strategic climate partnership between Uzbekistan and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is scheduled to take place on the margins of the 31st UN Climate Change Conference (COP31).

The event will be hosted at the national pavilion of Uzbekistan under the title "Strategic Climate Partnership of Uzbekistan and UNDP: From Commitments to Investments and Resilience Building." Discussions are expected to center around combating climate change, implementing national climate commitments, and attracting targeted investments into green initiatives.

Particular emphasis will reportedly be placed on advancing Uzbekistan's third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0) under the Paris Agreement, strengthening institutional capacities, developing innovative climate finance mechanisms, and shaping a competitive portfolio of investment-ready projects.

Furthermore, the participants are slated to review Uzbekistan's cooperation initiative with the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD), alongside the country's involvement in the UNDP-supported "Climate BRIDGE" initiative, which aims to translate broader national climate pledges into concrete, actionable investment projects.

Representatives from Uzbek state authorities, the UNDP, international financial institutions, and partner organizations are anticipated to join the gathering. The agenda also encompasses the development of national adaptation plans, with a specific focus on enhancing ecological and economic resilience in climate-vulnerable regions such as the Aral Sea area, culminating in the outlining of future practical steps.
