The President has officially signed a law introducing substantial amendments and additions to several legislative acts within the country. This regulatory measure is reportedly aimed at standardizing legal definitions and refining the mechanisms used to combat contemporary security challenges.

Under the provisions of the new document, the terminology has been altered to replace the phrase 'religious extremism' with the broader term 'extremism'. As previously highlighted during plenary sessions of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, this adjustment is allegedly designed to eliminate the practice of associating extremist behavior with any specific religion and to ensure a unified legal approach.

Furthermore, the legislation provides a clarified definition of 'extremism', explicitly outlining eight distinct types of illicit activities that fall under this category. These include the violent alteration of constitutional foundations, violation of territorial integrity and state sovereignty, and the forcible removal of legally elected or appointed government representatives.

The exhaustive list also encompasses the seizure of governmental powers, the establishment of or participation in illegal armed formations, public calls for terrorist activities, and the incitement of national, racial, ethnic, or religious discord accompanied by violence. Additional provisions target the distribution of materials threatening public security and the organization of politically or ideologically motivated mass riots.
