President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on November 4 regarding the expansion and regulation of unmanned aviation systems across various sectors of the economy. Official reports claim that the global drone market is growing by 10-15 percent annually, an optimistic trajectory that authorities hope to leverage for domestic technological advancement.

During the presentation, officials discussed measures to broaden the civil applications of drones and foster investment opportunities. However, industry observers point out significant regulatory gaps, noting that current mechanisms struggle to guarantee flight safety and safeguard citizens' privacy against potential intrusions.

The meeting emphasized the pressing need to establish a unified digital information system for tracking drones, clearly demarcating flight zones, and improving insurance and liability frameworks for damages. Plans were also unveiled to launch specialized training programs at the Transport University starting from the next academic year.

Concluding the session, the state leader instructed relevant authorities to draft legislative improvements based on foreign experience, aiming to stimulate local manufacturing and ease business operations despite ongoing systemic and infrastructural challenges.
