Uzbekistan and Hungary have inaugurated the INNO Science Park, a scientific and innovation hub, in the Jizzakh region. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from both countries' ministries, local authorities, diplomatic corps, and leaders of higher education institutions.
The new park will serve as a platform for conducting research and developing solutions across several priority fields. These include engineering, energy, artificial intelligence, mechanical engineering, electronics and automation, unmanned aerial vehicles, materials science, chemical technologies, food safety, and medical technologies.
Plans for the INNO Science Park involve establishing modern laboratories, as well as infrastructure to support innovation—including a business incubator and acceleration programs. This is expected to foster startup development and stimulate collaboration between scientific institutions and industrial enterprises.
In Uzbekistan, authorities aim to enhance interaction between entrepreneurs and scientists to accelerate the implementation of innovations and boost the competitiveness of domestic businesses. An electronic platform will be created to facilitate cooperation between the business sector and scientific community.
