A citizen of Uzbekistan, who faced the risk of labor exploitation in Delhi, India, has safely returned to her homeland with assistance from the embassy. Embassy staff actively participated in protecting her rights and organizing her departure from the country.
The compatriot encountered serious difficulties after losing her identity documents. This left her in a vulnerable position, exposing her to the risk of exploitation by unscrupulous employers. In this critical situation, she decided to seek help from the consular section of the Uzbek embassy.
Embassy staff promptly engaged in resolving the issue. Diplomats established working contacts with Indian law enforcement and migration services, which allowed for the swift resolution of legal matters regarding her stay in the country. After the necessary exit documents were processed, she was sent to Uzbekistan on March 14.
In connection with this incident, diplomats have once again reminded compatriots of the need to exercise caution when considering job offers abroad. Experts urged not to trust dubious intermediaries and to strictly adhere to the rules of stay in foreign countries to avoid situations that threaten personal safety.
Previously, similar assistance was provided to a minor compatriot in Moscow. After his detention and temporary placement in a social rehabilitation center, the Russian side, with embassy assistance, ensured his return to his family.
