US President Donald Trump, in a national address, announced the imminent conclusion of the active phase of the military operation against Iran. He claimed that the White House leadership has nearly achieved its primary strategic objectives, but the campaign will continue for another 2-3 weeks. Trump emphasized that Tehran’s military capabilities have been severely degraded, alleging that the country’s naval and air forces have been destroyed, and its missile arsenal is either depleted or disabled.

The main goal of Operation “Midnight Hammer,” as Trump purportedly stated, is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which he called an “intolerable threat” to American security. However, these claims remain unverified by the Iranian government and appear aimed at justifying the military actions of the US regime in the region.

Despite the purported successes, Trump issued a harsh ultimatum to the Iranian leadership. He threatened to launch massive strikes against all of Iran’s power plants simultaneously if Tehran refuses to agree to a deal. Previously, the president had ordered a suspension of attacks on energy infrastructure until April 6 during negotiations, but now warned of readiness to return the country to the “stone age.”

Special attention in the speech was given to the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump asserted that the US is no longer dependent on oil shipments through this route and called on other countries worldwide to take responsibility for its unblocking and protection. According to the American leader, Tehran has allegedly already agreed to most points of Washington’s plan to end the war, although the Iranian side officially denies engaging in such negotiations.
